WHERE DID IT BEGIN?
MUJŌ began with a simple observation.
We started seeing male artists stepping on stage in skirts. What stood out was not femininity, but confidence, presence and movement. There was something powerful about the silhouette. Something effortless.
Then skirts began appearing more and more on runways.
Eventually, curiosity became personal.
We wanted one in our own wardrobe. And once we started wearing them, something clicked. More movement. More freedom. More comfort. A different way of carrying yourself.
Whether walking through the city, going out at night or dancing for hours, the skirt simply felt right.

WHO DECIDED WHAT MEN SHOULD WEAR?
Clothing is still shaped by conventions we rarely stop to question.
Over time, certain silhouettes, gestures and codes become assigned to one gender or another — not because they inherently belong there, but because culture has made them feel familiar.
MUJŌ starts from the belief that these boundaries are not permanent.
Across cultures and centuries, men have worn kilts, sarongs, dhotis, robes, tunics and other forms of draped garments.
Masculinity has never belonged to one silhouette.
SO, WHY A SKIRT?
MUJŌ is not about replacing trousers.
It is about adding another possibility.
We want wearing a skirt with a white tank top to feel as natural as wearing that same tank top with jeans.
Not a costume.
Not a statement about sexuality.
Simply another way to dress, move and express yourself.
WHAT DOES MUJŌ MEAN?
The name MUJŌ comes from the Japanese concept of mujō — impermanence.
The idea that nothing remains fixed.
Culture changes.
Style changes.
We change.
Inspired by Japanese simplicity, Korean experimentation and a wider Asian approach to silhouette and movement, MUJŌ explores clothing through freedom, character and precision.

HOW IS MUJŌ MADE?
At the heart of this vision is a commitment to how each piece is made.
MUJŌ is made in France, with close attention given to construction, details, finish and the way each garment moves on the body.
Our materials are carefully sourced in the heart of Paris, selected for their quality, texture, weight and character.
We do not see fabric as simply the starting point of a garment. It is part of its identity — shaping its movement, its presence and the way it feels when worn.
Keeping the process local allows us to remain close to every stage of creation, from the first material selection to the final garment.
WHO DO WE CREATE FOR?
For people willing to move beyond the lines that have been drawn for them.
Not necessarily to rebel.
Simply to choose.
To wear MUJŌ is to stand a little taller. To move a little freer. To bring personality, confidence and even a touch of humour into the everyday.
